Hey gang, Lirael here from E3 in Los Angeles with Ubisoft and the Frag Doll Cadettes! I've gotten to see and demo some great games, mainly Driver (the newest Ubisoft racer) and Your Shape, which has been a HUGE hit with the crowd here. Apparently fitness games will be all the rage in 2010 and 2011 with Your Shape being released as well as Harmonix's Dance Central. The other big names at E3 so far this year are definitely Call of Duty: Black Ops as well as Nintendo's announcement of it's new 3d portable, the 3DS.
We got to go to an Ubisoft party last night, which was tons of fun...Shaun White was there to help promote his new skating game. Bummer I didn't get a chance to meet him, but I did get to meet the guy who plays the role of Hiro on the TV-show, Heroes! We also got to take a photo as a part of the "Women in Games" promotion through the Frag Dolls. It's really great to be a part of something that promotes female-gamers in a relatively male-dominated industry.
Today is the last day of E3 so I'm expecting lots of Driver to wrap things up and maybe a surprise or two along the way. Stay tuned for updates!
Hey all! Just in the process of demo-ing Motion Sports for the XBox 360 Kinect, previously known as Project Natal. Kinect already shows promise, so it's exciting to be able to demo such amazing technology! More later...
Check back here from now through June 18th to hear all about my adventures in L.A. for the Electronic Entertainment Expo! There will be up-to-the-minute tweets, blogging, photos, and videos of the Frag Dolls and Cadettes, the Ubisoft booth, parties, and whatever else I get to see while I'm out there. E3, here I come!!
06/15/10 8:30am Yesterday was a hurried rush of jumping from one things to the next: training, Ubisoft press conference, Xbox 360 Kinect Experience with Cirque de Soleil. It was pretty crazy. I took lots of videos and I have pictures up on Flickr. There's also a ton of tweets. I'll update you more soon!
06/14/10, 10:21am I woke up so early and was way too excited to go back to sleep. So... up we went and onto breakfast! We also took some time to play with the fountains. Pics...!

06/14/10, 1:58am Woo! I had an uneventful flight—unless you count the radio broadcast of an amazing Celtics win!—and now I'm snug in my hotel bed. It was a long night of traveling for four of us ladies. I strolled into LAX around 11pm, with Lanai and Adria both waiting. (Their flights had been delayed, so they had an even longer day than the rest of us!) We chatted while Melonie's pilot scrounged around for an arrival gate. Then we crammed into a cab and headed over to the hotel.
The lobby is full of fountains, the elevators have floor-to-ceiling windows, most of the walls are curved, and the beds are plush and laden in white. Time for us to get some sleep so we're ready for tomorrow's training day! (Hopefully it goes better for us than it did for Denzel.)
But first, a quick vid to bid you all good night!
06/11/10, 12:30pm 55 hours until I leave for E3! Current prep work: I'm printing out reviews of the first four Driver games and anything else I can get my hands on so that in three days I'll be an expert on the franchise. Can't wait!
06/10/10, 6:43pm I just found out that I'm tentatively scheduled to work at the Driver booth for E3!! No, I can't tell you anything about the game that you don't already know. But I will tell you this:
06/10/10, 7:40am 84 hours until I leave for E3... I need to start a pre-packing inventory! While you wait, be sure to check out the Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-style Ubisoft teaser video and the announcement of two brand new Frag Dolls!

- In my opinion, Driver was just as important in the development of Grand Theft Auto as Grand Theft Auto was in the development of Driver.
- If this turns out to be the hotly anticipated fifth installment of the beloved series, it would be the first game in the main series to be released since 2007's Driver: Parallel Lines.
- You can visit the official website here.
- If you "like" the Driver Facebook page, you'll see there's a pretty exciting surprise in store for fans of the franchise!
